My name is Sharon Luka. I am the third and fourth grade teacher. I have taught at OLS for seven years. I started with fourth grade, then I went to third grade. Last year I taught fifth and sixth grade. I am now teaching third and fourth grade. Combined classes are not new to me, they just take some cooperation from a lot of people.
I have been married to my husband Ron for 37 years. We have two sons ages 30 and 32. Ron retired from the US Navy in 2007. He was in the reserves when we got married. He went active duty in 1973. He got commissioned as an officer in 1983. When he finally retired he was a Navy Captain (O6). Moving and seeing the world has made for a very interesting life. Eight years in one school is quite a novelty for me, but I love it. I graduated for Memphis State University (now UM) in 1992. I was in my forties, but it was well worth it. I've enjoyed the time I've had with all age groups. I am a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Cordova. My husband and I are now very active in our church. It is an important part of our life. My husband and I also love taking Motorcycle trips, or most any form of transportation. We enjoy Nascar races, and we attend operas. We have quite a diversity of likes, but that type of thing makes life interesting! | |
